Tracy Howard

Mr. Tracy Howard is in his 9th year as the school's athletics director and his 21st year in the field of education. Coach Howard has spent the last 15 years in Christian Education where he has served in various leadership roles.

He has also held assistant and head coaching positions in a number of sports throughout his career; 14 of which he has held the title as a head baseball coach. During his time as a head baseball coach he has accumulated a record of 330 wins and 125 losses with a winning percentage of .725. Coach Howard has been selected as the District Coach of the Year 8 times, and his team season achievements include 7 district championships and 6 state tournament appearances. The most recent team success belongs to the 2021 SCS Varsity Eagle Baseball team who were the TAPPS D2-1 District Champions and TAPPS State Runner-Up.

Coach Howard is a graduate of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, where he was a four-year letterman, team captain, and starting pitcher for the Crusader baseball team. He earned all-academic team honors from the American Southwest Conference his sophomore, junior, and senior seasons. After graduation, Coach Howard married his college sweetheart, Ashley, who also is a part of the SCS family as the Chisholm Trail Campus Associate Principal. The Howard's have been blessed with two children - Houston and Emerson. Houston is 17 years old and is an 11th grader at SCS. Their daughter, Emerson, is 10 years old and is in 5th grade at SCS.
