Girl's Cross Country
The Cross Country program at SCS was started in 2006 and has grown into one of the most competitive private school programs in the state and one of the most successful programs at SCS every year. The program is based on a foundation that we believe God created our bodies to be used in ways that glorify Him. The sport of Cross County is hard and it takes a great amount of effort, heart, and determination to be successful. We think it is a great mirror of our Christian walk. We will face adversity, but when we fellowship in a community of believers and hold one another accountable to Biblical teachings we will be successful. The program runs in some of the biggest meets in the Southwest each year; Nike South Invitational (Houston), UTSA Invitational (San Antonio), Cowboy Jamboree (Stillwater, OK). The Girls have had multiple all-state performers, they have captured the district title in ’08,’09,’10,’11,'12, '13, '14, '15 and '16. The girls have also finished in the top 4 at the state meet in ’09, ’10, ’11, and ’12. It is a team that is built on encouraging each other to push their physical limits and be a team that is set apart in every way possible.
